Our plans for St Mary le Port

The redevelopment of St Mary le Port will help revitalise a key area of Bristol.

A new and exciting development is being planned in the heart of Bristol, which opens up St Mary le Port, improves public access to Castle Park, creates jobs and establishes a new vibrant and sustainable place for people to enjoy.

Our proposal for the St Mary le Port site has evolved over time. Working in partnership, with Bristol City Council, we have considered the planning policy framework in detail and we have engaged in many wide-ranging discussions, with local representatives, to learn about the site and test out ideas.

We have used our knowledge and experience of placemaking and regenerating city centres to finalise our proposal.

We are now excited to hear what you think of the scheme, which we hope will bring this historic area back into sustainable, contemporary use and reconnect the area with Castle Park.

Proposals outside the red line site boundary are illustrative. These are included here to indicate the coordinated approach for the site in consideration of the wider setting. These will be further coordinated with Bristol City Council through continued engagement. They are not intended to prejudice Bristol City Council’s own vision for the highways and Castle Park outside the red line.
